Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Part-time Lecturer at the Institute of Distance Education, University of Zambia as follows:
1.    POLITICAL SCIENCE
Purpose:  Teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)     Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)    Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Political Science at the level of Merit or better.
iii)    Master of Arts in Political Science
iv)   Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage.
2.   ECONOMICS
Purpose:  Teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)      Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)      Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics at the level of Merit or better.
iii).    Master of Arts in Economics
iv)    Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage
3.    PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
Purpose:  Teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)    Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)      Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Public Administration at the level of Merit or better.
iii).    Master of Public Administration
iv)    Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage.
4.    CIVIC EDUCATION
Purpose:  Teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)    Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)      Bachelor of Education with a major in Civic Education at the level of Merit or better.
iii)    Master of Education in Civic Education
iv)    Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage.
5.    RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Purpose:  Teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)    Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)      Bachelor of Education with  a major in Religious Education at the level of Merit or better.
iii).    Master of Education in Religious Education
iv)    Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage.
6.   EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY AND SOCIOLOGY
Purpose:  Teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)    Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)      Bachelor of Education with a major in Educational Psychology or Sociology of Education at the level of Merit or better.
iii).    Master of Education in Educational Psychology or Sociology of Education
iv)    Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage.
7.   JOB TITLE:   SPECIAL EDUCATION
Purpose:   To teach learners with visual impairments, hearing impairments and Brail Education, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)      Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)     Bachelor of Education with a major in Special Education at the level of Merit or better.
iii).    Master of Education in Special Education
iv)    Must have experience in teaching learners with visual impairments, hearing impairments, Brail or sign language.
v)    Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage.
8.    EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION & POLICY STUDIES
Purpose:  Teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)      Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)     Bachelor of Education with a major in Educational Administration & Policy Studies at the level of Merit or better.
iii).    Master of Education in Educational Administration & Policy Studies.
iv)    Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage.
9.   ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Purpose:  Teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)      Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)      Bachelor of Education with a major in Environmental Education at the level of Merit or better.
iii).    Master of Education in Environmental Education
iv)    Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage.
10.  CHEMISTRY
Purpose:  Teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)      Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)      Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Chemistry at the level of Merit or better.
iii).    Master of Science in Chemistry
iv)    Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage.
11.  PHYSICS   
Purpose:  Teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)      Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)      Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physics at the level of Merit or better.
iii).    Master of Science in Physics
iv)    Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage.
12.  LAW 
Purpose:  Teaching, conducting tutorials, marking assignments, invigilating examinations and marking examination scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
i)      Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
ii)      Bachelor of Laws at the level of Merit or better.
iii).    Master of Laws in Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Legal Processes, Legal Writing, Administrative Law, Law of Contracts, Business Law or Company Law
iv)    Teaching or research experience at College or University level will be an added advantage.
