1.1. Qualifications
Full Grade 12 Certificate.
Diploma in Heavy duty repairs or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Certificate in auto-electrical, a Diploma will be an added advantage.
1.2. Roles Summary
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on mobile and stationary equipment including front end loaders, dozers, trucks, stationary, and mobile generators.
Engine and overhauls rebuilds.
Gear box repairs.
Timing and Adjust, or repair and replace parts in engines, transmissions.
Cylinder head repairs.
Undertake electrical repairs on various vehicles and plant.
Order for parts and equipment as necessary.
Maintain and repair various kinds of petrol and diesel engine motor vehicles.
Identify repairs required via unfair wear and tear, and advice the service manager and foreman mechanic.
