HEAD - PUBLIC SECTOR BANKING (X1)

JOB PURPOSE

To manage the Public Sector Team efficiently so that performance goals and objectives are achieved.
Distribute and control the tasks to be performed by the employees in the Department.
Promote awareness and ensure adherence to all policies & procedures.
Formulate strategies for the Public Sector department.
Indicate market, sector and technological trends and developments for the coming years.
Propose and/or implement innovative ideas to enhance business results.
Liaise with key operational functions to ensure client service delivery to agreed benchmarks.
To manage the formulation and implementation of key client service programs.

HEAD – GLOBAL CORPORATES (X1)

JOB PURPOSE

To lead and manage sales and relationships with foreign multinational corporations located in Zambia and be responsible for the development and performance of the portfolio to meet the bank’s objectives and financial targets.

Under the supervision of the Head Corporate & Investment Banking, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:-

Build, defend and coordinate broad, cross-border and country relationships with the bank’s Global Corporate clients.
Identify opportunities for new / incremental business with the bank’s Global Corporate clients and work with relevant internal stakeholders to turn opportunities into revenue for the bank.
Partner with Transaction Banking and Treasury to drive innovation and product development for mid-market corporate clients including cash management, payment solutions, liquidity management investment and foreign exchange solutions.
Partner with Investment Banking to provide investment banking solutions to global corporate including arranging club deals/syndicated transactions and advising on possible M&A opportunities.
Ensure growth and management of the quality of the portfolio balance sheet as well leading projects.
Stay abreast of industry developments across different country markets to identify opportunities and risks for Global Corporate clients and the Bank and develop strategies to maximize opportunities and defend market share.
Managing and coordinating the activities of the personnel and resources under Global Corporate including distribution and control of tasks performed by staff in the Department.
Be responsible for and provide on a regular basis relevant information and reports on Global Corporate to the Head Corporate and Investment Banking and Management Board.
Develop Global Corporate strategy and provide input into CIB strategy and ensure communication and alignment to the strategy by all team members.
Support the management of relationships with external partners (such as Group Management and service providers) and regulatory authorities.
Keep abreast of industry developments and changes in the operational and financial needs of corporates with a global presence.
Achieve desired income and growth targets with regard to the Global Corporate business.
Manage and monitor portfolio credit risk including overseeing client facility negotiations and reviewing Relationship Manager Credit applications before approval by Head CIB and submission to Credit.
Monitor Mid-Market Corporate department financial and operational performance and take necessary corrective actions to ensure high performance and manage risks.
Develop/provide input into CIB annual budgets and ensure effective cost management and increased profitability.

HEAD – LARGE CORPORATES (X1)

JOB PURPOSE

To lead and manage sales and relationships with large corporates with a turnover of over K200 million and be responsible for the growth and performance of the portfolio in line with the Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) strategy and to achieve bank targets and objectives.

Under the supervision of the Head Corporate & Investment Banking, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:-

To identify opportunities for new/incremental business in the large corporate segment and work with relevant internal stakeholders to turn opportunities into revenue for the bank.
Partner with Transaction Banking and Treasury to drive innovation and product development for large corporate clients including cash management, payment solutions, liquidity management investment and foreign exchange solutions.
Partner with Investment Banking to provide investment banking solutions to large corporate including arranging club deals/syndicated transactions and Lead Projects.
Growth and management of the quality of the portfolio balance sheet.
Stay abreast of various industry and economic developments to identify opportunities and risks for large corporate clients and the Bank and develop strategies to maximize opportunities and defend market share.
Managing and coordinating the activities of the personnel and resources under Large Corporate including distribution and control of tasks performed by staff in the Department.
Be responsible for and provide on a regular basis relevant information and reports on Large Corporate to the Head Corporate and Investment Banking and Management Board.
Develop Large Corporate strategy and provide input into CIB strategy and ensure communication and alignment to the strategy by all team members.
Support the management of relationships with external partners (such as commerce chambers and trade associations) and regulatory authorities.
Keep abreast of industry developments and changes in the operational and financial needs of corporates with a global presence.
Achieve desired income and growth targets with regard to the Large Corporate business.
Manage and monitor portfolio credit risk including overseeing client facility negotiations and reviewing Relationship Manager credit applications before approval by Head CIB and submission to Credit.
Monitor Large Corporate department financial and operational performance and take necessary corrective actions to ensure high performance and manage risks.
To develop/provide input into CIB annual budgets and ensure effective cost management and increased profitability.
