COMMERCIAL OFFICER
REPORTING LINE: Public Relations and Commercial Manager
JOB PURPOSE: To contribute to the financial viability of the company by maintenance and revenue collection from GRZ, Commercial and Domestic accounts and maintenance of Customer accounts and customer complaint resolution.
Main duties and Responsibilities
  1. Ensure that all Customers are current in compliance with company policy;
  2. Assist the Public Relations & Commercial Manager and District Heads / Supervisors / Managers in achieving the company commercial objectives;
  3. Ensuring the commercial facilities and infrastructure are operational and maintained at all times in liaison with other key players;
  4. Promote high customer care through prompt handling and resolving of customer complaints
  5. Ensure data collection, creation of a data base and processing of required information from time to time as may be demanded;
  6. Ensure revenue collection and proper documentation of all records/reports pertaining to revenue collection;
  7. Under guidance of the Public Relations & Commercial Manager ensure compliance on bill settlement by public institutions, domestic and commercial customers as well as water kiosk vendors;
  8. Ensure timely submission of reports;
  9. Any other duties as may be delegated by senior staff.
COMPANY SECRETARY/LEGAL COUNSEL

JOB PURPOSE
To provide efficient and effective secretarial services and Legal advice to the Board and Senior Management of the Company
The Job holder is the Company’s Chief Secretary and Legal Advisor.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides expert legal advice to the Board and Senior Management on various matters affecting the company in compliance with the Company Act.
  • Drafts various Legal Documents on behalf of the company.
  • Interprets and explains the legal implications of various contracts and documents to the company’s Management and the Board.
  • Works in consultation with External Counsel on all litigation matters affecting the company.
  • Ensures that all matters which are under litigation are attended to by external counsel in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Maintains all court documents and files court documents on behalf of the company.
  • Studies and explains any changes in Government legislation and its implications on the company’s Business to the Board and Management.
  • Prepares Board/Board Committee Meetings reports and provision of Secretarial Services.
  • Issues notices for AGMs and provides secretarial services during AGMs.
  • Filing of annual returns with PACRA.
  • Handles conveyance duties for the company.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Managing Director or the Board / Board Committees from time to time.
INTERNAL AUDITOR (1) (RE-ADVERTISED)

REPORTING LINE:
Functionally to the Audit Committee of the Board and Administratively to the Managing Director
JOB PURPOSE
To provide effective management of the Internal Audit Unit and provide advice to the Board and Senior Management on policy matters, regulations and operational procedures and systems.
Main duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement annual audit plans based on sound risk assessments, directly linked to the achievement of the company mission and strategic objectives.
  • Formulate and implement an internal audit strategy aimed at identifying areas of high risk and advising the Board and management on available risk response options.
  • Review companywide systems of risk management and internal controls and their adequacy in controlling and managing risks.
  • Audit financial, operating, project and accounting control systems to ascertain their adequacy ,accuracy and reliability as basis for developing both internal and external reporting and for safeguarding company resources
  • Audit and review economy, efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  • Audit and review compliance with law, regulations and internal policies.
  • Under take special audits aimed at establishing control breaches, suspected fraud and corruption incidences.
  • Prepares timely, focused and sound management reports.
  • Board support to prepare, conduct and report the results of audits as delegated by the Audit Committee of the Board.
  • Chief advisor to the Managing Director and Management on identified risks.
  • To train and develop subordinates
  • Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
