COMMERCIAL MANAGER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To challenge commercial and financial aspects of the business to drive and improve performance by analysing, interpreting and reporting of results, including identifying opportunities and applying commercial acumen to ensure timely and robust decision making.

MAIN DUTIES

Develops and implements strategic and tactical marketing plans by pursuing new opportunities to grow business.
Ensures customers’ demands are met.
Prepares a consolidated annual Marketing and Sales budget/plan for the Company for both local and export markets.
Undertakes marketing promotional activities to stimulate demand and raise the profile of the company and its products.
Maintains good customer relations by managing key customer accounts and administering all contracts.
Plans, coordinates and monitors the ordering, receipt and dispatch of limestone products to customers.
Directs, motivates ,and develops subordinates in the marketing and sales department in order to ensure continued availability of required skills
Assesses risks and makes recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in a business situation to ensure optimization of benefits for the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Grade 12 / Form 5 Certificate.
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a challenging business environment.
Excellent organizational skills, administrative capacity and ability to work with minimum oversight.
