1.1 Musicology (1 Position)
Job Purpose:
To teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, conduct research in the field, offer consultancy services and participate in academic activities in the University.
The applicant should have a strong acumen and be well versed in Cultural Music Publications.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop syllabus for music programmes
  • Design short courses for specific performing groups merge music with other academic programmes lecturing, conducting tutorials as well as supervision of students’ thesis and practical projects contribution towards academic excellence through research and publications
Special Skills required for this position:
  • Ability to compose songs
  • Knowledge and experience in performing arts
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • A minimum of PhD Degree with a bias towards Ethno Musicology, Music Education and Performing Arts plus 3 years of industrial / practical/Research experience and be a member of reg istered professional body in Zambia.

Required Qualifications and Experience for Professorial and Senior Lecturer Positions:
  • A PhD in relevantfield
  • Show high levels of expertise and academic leadership in their field
  • Proof of research supervisory experience
  • Published articles in reputable, peer-reviewed journals
  • Not less than five (5) years teaching experience at higher learning Institution.
  • Active membership and Registration with a Professional body would be an added advantage
  • Ability to contribute to the teaching and supervision in peace and Conflict Courses.
